The
entrepreneurs from Braila

are between 20 and 40 years old. The weight of those between 41 and 50 years
old is 38% and the rest of 23% are over 50 years old.
Relative

higher for all those between 21 and 40 years old. The percentage of the male
entrepreneurs is higher for the other groups of age.
The
largest share of the female entrepreneurs graduated secondary school (42.9%);
the weight of those with a university degree is 32.3%. The percentage of the
category mentioned above is also higher for the other kind of studies, elementary
school and college.
The
majority of the male entrepreneurs have as university degree (53.5%); 24.5%
of the rest has graduated secondary school and 1.9% are graduates with a master's
degree.
The
importance of vocational experience is determined by the double, conflicting
role it has: it may either be a positive factor underlying development or an
adverse factor refraining the development of one's own business and implicitly
of the local economy. Experience can sometimes be a limitation under the conditions
of a mentality characterized by rigidity, inflexibility, closed system activity
added to it, which characteristics are contrary to the present-day diametrically
opposed conditions and requirements, which involve dynamism suppleness, systemic
view, high inventiveness. The largest share (48%) of the interviewed persons
has an experience older than 9 years, 33% between 4 and 8 years; 19% bellow
3 years.

The most important motivation for the next age categories:
21-30, 31-40 and 51-60 years is "better earnings". For the other age
categories, "personal and family security" is the driving force. Self-achievement
is less important for the older entrepreneurs while the "work with capable
persons" has a diametrically opposed evolution.
