owned by the entrepreneurs from Braila
The
largest share of the firms owned by the entrepreneurs from Braila deals in trade:
retail sale 55.8%, wholesale 20.1%, due to low investments opposite to those
in production and even in services. 31% of the firms are in the services business.
From
those who target the internal market, the majority weight (49%) acts on the
local market because they deal in trade..
The
size of firms is highlighted by the turnover figures. 41% of the firms has a
turnover bellow 15,000$ and it is the largest share. The turnover of 17% of
the firms is up to 120,000$. Between these two figures lye the other firms that
can be grouped in 3 categories with similar weights (10%). The percentage of
those who did not answer is 14.
All
the foreign private firms had a positive evolution of their activity. The largest
share of the private joint venture and the joint venture firms had increasing
activity (75%, respectively 60%). Local private firms that had a growing activity
(41.2%) and they are the most of it. The most with a stagnated or decreasing
activity are the local private firms (25.2%, respectively 33.6%).
The
largest share of those with decreasing activity was the firms with turnover
bellow 15,000$. All those with turnover up to 120,000$ had increasing activity.
As
the turnover grows, the percentage of the firms owned by the graduated entrepreneurs
increases, while the weight of the firms owned by entrepreneurs with secondary
school studies decreases. So the correlation between the turnover figures and
the study level of the entrepreneurs is confirmed by data from study.
